Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings: Experiences of an American Diplomat with Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom by Wayne S. Peterson ( Hampton Roads) It this book is true, then it is important – and the author’s credentials may convince you to take a look – Peterson, a retired American diplomat – may not be a kook. Having traveled from the political halls of power to the spiritual “Hall of Wisdom”, Peterson reveals an amazing story – a message of hope and evidence of humanity’s opportunity to redefine its institutions based on the “Ancient Wisdom Teaching” common to all religious traditions – to love one another.

From the age of four, Peterson began experiencing things other people didn't – Mary,  mother of Jesus, appeared to him, saved his life, and made a promise that gave him a reason to live. That promise was forgotten until...

One evening many years later, flipping through the TV channels, Wayne was stopped by something he saw on the "Merv Griffin Show" – the cover of a book entitled The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom. At that moment the memory of Mary’s promise to him as a child rushed back: "I am going to tell you a secret that few now know. If you stay with your family, you will see the Christ, because he will come to live with the people of the world."

Peterson's attention was riveted, as Merv and Gore Vidal carried on a discussion with the author of the book, Benjamin Creme. Enthralled, he got a copy of the book, and began his investigation. His search led him on an adventure that introduced him to new spiritual realities. A director of the Fulbright Scholarship Program at that time, Peterson had already served with the Peace Corps in Brazil for two years and in the Foreign Service as a diplomat in various embassy positions in Latin America , Southeast Asia , and Africa . He traveled in circles inaccessible to most people, and had contacts at the highest levels of the White House, many foreign governments and the Vatican .

In Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings, his first book, Peterson tells the incredible story of how he met Maitreya, the Christ, and a group of evolved spiritual beings who oversee the evolution of our planet. It follows his career in the political halls of power, where he met many other highly-placed people who have had similar experiences of Maitreya.

Peterson, recently retired from government service, is now free to share his unusual experiences, offering hope during the present trying times. He assures us that the future is bright; that we have before us the possibility of making our world a place of peace, beauty, justice and sufficiency for all – a virtual heaven on earth.

Above all, Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings is a story, both personal and planetary, of love, and of those extraordinary spiritual beings who embody it to the world. Read the book & decide for yourself.
